For Simple Church Ministry, the internet has become a great medium or channel for evangelism as well as teaching that informs, transforms, encourages and edifies. Through this medium, we are able to reach out to thousands of people in different parts of the world. Our internet evangelism, offers biblical teaching via our blog and social media. We recognize that evangelising within this environment has become a necessity.
New Testament Gatherings:
We are used to thinking of church as a building, but how does the Bible portray the church. SCM is planting New Testament church gatherings in homes, offices, campuses, where people can gather and meet for encouragement, bible discussion, and discipleship.
Men's Center Outreach:
SCM visits the Houston Men's Center one hour everyday offering counseling encouragement and prayer to those with drug and alcohol addiction, while building relationships that lead to Christ. People who are isolated will eventually re-enter the cycle of darkness and despair, by meeting together they remain healthy and open. We hope that through this outreach, people will develop healthy relationships and contribute back to society.
Adopt a Complex:
While others say come, we say what Jesus said, "GO". Not everyone will come out of their homes to join a community or group of believers, therefore, we take the gospel of Jesus to the people.
Can you picture a church of hundreds of believers but not in a mega-church facility? This is what Adopt a Complex is about. We have sensed a burden to establish a body of believers and make disciples in apartment complexes and homes in the Hiram Clarke community.
Every fifth weekend we visit Apartment complex's in our community to help provide those in need with groceries, as well as gifts for the children, during the holidays and back to school. We also visit the elderly, meet and pray with residents to bring life where there may not otherwise be a healthy community of believers.
